The area of AREVA NP SAS France activities in fusion programmes is principally related to the Tokamak Primary Components such as First Wall, Shield Block, Vacuum Vessel, Blanket, Divertor, Antennas, Coils and associated Remote Handling Operations. These activities, performed mainly for JET, ITER and European long term programmes, consist in :
  • studies ( feasibility,design,calculation,safety,reliability and costing )
  • supply ( mock-ups, prototypes and tokamak components )
  • testing ( first wall and divertor )

As part of its overall activities in fusion developments, AREVA NP SAS calls extensively on small and medium size enterprises with specific skills as subcontractors.
