BELGATOM is an architect engineer and a consulting engineer for the nuclear industry.

BELGATOM is the coordination vehicle for the marketing and sales of the nuclear engineering capabilities of its shareholders Tractebel and Belgonucleaire.

BELGATOM and its shareholders have a staff of 2,200 including 500 graduate engineers and technical experts with considerable experience in nuclear technology.

This experience was gained over more than forty years through the participation in the Belgian nuclear programme and in nuclear projects abroad in more than twenty-five countries.

BELGATOM and its shareholders are certified ISO 9001.

In fusion related areas, BELGATOM has been concentrating mainly on heat transfer system design, thermal hydraulic safety studies and control & data acquisition systems.

Overview of the used console used for

TRASYS, a company of the TRACTEBEL Group, specialized in information technology engineering, has been the main contractor for software engineering of the Control and Data Acquisition System (CODAS) of JET. As such, TRASYS has been involved in the development, maintenance, upgrade, operation and renewal of the CODAS software.
